Droid Logic Motion

The Droid Logic Motion is a versatile, all-in-one animatronics platform designed to be the central brain for your complex props, replicas, and droids.
Built on the powerful ESP32-S3-Zero, this compact 65x51mm board provides integrated WiFi, Bluetooth 5 LE, and a fast 240MHz dual-core processor.
It breaks out all the essential connections for professional-grade audio, multi-channel servo control, and dynamic LED lighting into one clean, easy-to-install package.

You can order the board in different versions:

• PCB only with pre-soldered SMD components (without pin headers and other components)
• PCB only with pre-soldered SMD components + 2x Eye Lightboards & 1x Detail Lightboard (without pin headers and other components)
• PCB kit with all needed components & Lightboards (unsoldered, that’s your job)
• Fully assembled Board + Lights

The IR Remote is always optional (comes without batteries).
Wires and SD card not included!

Key Hardware Features:

Core Processor: ESP32-S3-Zero

• CPU: Xtensa® 32-bit LX7 Dual-Core, running up to 240MHz.
• Wireless: Integrated 2.4GHz WiFi (802.11 b/g/n) and Bluetooth® 5 (LE) for web interfaces and remote control.
• Memory: 4MB of on-board Flash memory and 2MB of PSRAM, providing ample space for complex code, web pages, and sound profiles.
• Native USB: A USB-C port provides a direct serial connection for programming and a command-line interface (CLI) without needing a separate UART chip.

Professional Audio System

• Amplifier Socket: Includes a socket for a PAM8406 stereo amplifier (5W per channel).
• Speaker Output: Two screw terminals for direct connection to stereo speakers (4Ω or 8Ω).
• Dual Line-Out: Features both a 3.5mm stereo jack and a 3-pin header for a clean, un-amplified line-level signal. Perfect for integrating with external, high-power sound systems.
• MP3 Player Ready: Dedicated RX/TX screw terminals for easy and secure connection to a DFPlayer Mini MP3 module.

Motion, Lighting & Expansion I/O

• Multi-Channel Servos: Dedicated pins to control 4+ servos for complex animatronic movement (e.g., GP5, GP6, GP7, GP8).
• Addressable LEDs: Supports multiple independent NeoPixel (WS2812) channels, such as two for eyes (GP3, GP4) and one for detail lighting (GP10).
• Sensor Input: Dedicated pin for an IR receiver (GP9).
• I2C Expansion: A 3-pin header (GP1, GP2) provides I2C connectivity for adding sensors, OLED screens, or other peripherals.
• Power: A robust 5V high-current screw terminal ensures stable power for servos, LEDs, and the audio amplifier (3A minimum recommended)

Available Firmware:

To demonstrate the board’s full potential, a feature-complete, open-source firmware is available for the Droid Division K-2SO bust. This provides a ready-to-use example of a high-end animatronic controller, featuring:

• 4-Servo autonomous head and eye motion.
• A full WiFi web interface with a gamepad for real-time control.
• 12 advanced eye animation modes, including effects for 13-LED “Circle-Eye” rings.
• A 16-second cinematic boot sequence.
• IR remote learning and control.
