RGB-DPL S3

The RGB-DPL S3 is the wireless version of the fully digital body lights board. It does the same job as the RGB-DPL AstroCan X, but reaches the system through the AstroCan X Bridge instead of a CAN cable.

The choice is about installation, not features. A cable is the more direct route where you are laying one anyway; the wireless board saves you a run through the body when the light sits somewhere awkward.

It drives the same family of light modules as its wired sibling: internal body strip, digital charging bay indicators, large data port logics, coin slot lights, utility arm lights and the VU meter. Everything is controlled from the body lights page of the browser interface and can take part in sequences.

In either case you install one body lights board, not several. The alternatives are the D-DPL AstroCan X and the D-DPL VU S3 Zero.

Not just AstroCan X: this board also works with other systems, and a standalone firmware sketch is available.
